Ambrocio Britto, Jr., 61, of Lubbock, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1943 in Hamlin, Texas to Ambrocio Britto, Sr. and Josepha Lujan Britto, who preceded him in death. Ambrocio Britto, Jr. enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1961. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, receiving a meritorious unit commendation from the Secretary of the Navy. He attended La Mar Jr. College, receiving his associate's degree. He worked for Texas Office Supply for 18 years in Corpus Christi, Texas. After moving to Lubbock, he was employed by Lone Star Auto Auction for 15 years. His warm smile and can do attitude will be dearly missed by friends and family.

Those left to mourn his passing include: one son, Tony Britto; two daughters, Annette Greigo and Debra McAtee; one sister, Nancy Willey of Lubbock; four bothers, Carmen Abariste of Houston, Frank Lujan Britto of Plainview, Manuel Britto of Lubbock, and Raymond Britto of Midland; and several wonderful nieces and nephews . Graveside services with military honors will be at Lubbock Cemetery today at 10 a.m.
