GIERKE, Randy C.
Was born on December 11, 1951 in Spokane, WA and graduated from John Rogers High School in 1971. Randy spent his whole life in Spokane, except the two years he served in the Navy on the USS Ogden during the Vietnam war. Last November, Randy had a tumor removed from his lung and later found out it was Mesothelioma cancer. Randy lost this short battle and passed away on January 30, 2007. Randy is survived by his wife of 25 years Cheryl; and their two sons Kelly and Kerry. Randy leaves behind his mother Adeline Madson; stepfather Dave Madson; his sister René Andres; and his brother Rob Gierke. Randy was fortunate to belong to a very large family and had lots of close friends. Randy was a loving husband, father and friend, he will be missed. Randy's loves include his family, the Koi pond he built with Cheryl in their backyard, gardening, sports, motorcycles, and his job. Like "NORM" on the hit show "CHEERS", Randy liked to hang out at a neighborhood bar to have a beer and visit with his friends.

Thank you family and friends for helping us celebrate Randy’s life.
